Defne Tahtakıran graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy in 1997, launching her career by merging her academic background with practical experience. With a professional journey spanning approximately 28 years in the healthcare sector, she operated her own community pharmacy until September 2025, providing primary healthcare services and consultancy to her patients.
Throughout her career, Tahtakıran has aimed to build a bridge between modern pharmacy and holistic health approaches. In line with this vision, she successfully completed the homoeopathy training programs organised by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health, earning the distinction of being among the first graduates in this field. She further deepened her expertise in traditional and complementary medicine through Ministry-approved Aromatherapy training.
