Dr. Selin Erel graduated from high school in Hershey, USA. She started her college degree majoring in Chemistry at Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA. After returning to Turkey in 1995, she continued her academic career at Boğaziçi University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychological Counseling.
Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Erel completed both her Master’s degree and PhD at Istanbul University, Institute of Forensic Medicine, specializing in the same field. She further advanced her expertise through specialized training and clinical work in addiction studies at Istanbul University Çapa Faculty of Medicine and Rutgers University.
After completing her doctoral studies, Dr. Erel undertook formal training in Classical Homeopathy at the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy, integrating homeopathic principles into her interdisciplinary professional approach.
Since 2000, she has been an active academician, while also providing psychological counseling and classical homeopathy services in her private practice since 2006.
She has been a faculty member at the London College of Homeopathy since 2019, where she teaches courses in homeopathy and psychology.
In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Erel is a founding member of the “Menopozda_Parla”group which is social initiative group, which was established in 2024 and focuses on menopause awareness, education, and women’s health from a multidisciplinary perspective.
